About LAN Quick Transfer
LAN Quick Transfer connects two browsers so you can send text and files without creating an account.
How it works
1. Open on both devices
Open the same website on the sending and receiving devices.
2. Connect
Scan the QR code or enter the four-digit connection code.
3. Send directly
Keep both pages open while the browser-to-browser transfer completes.
Privacy
Files travel through a WebRTC data channel between browsers. On a local deployment, short text is forwarded immediately through the local service. On public deployments, text uses a direct connection with a service relay as fallback. The service does not store transfer content. Device names and saved devices are stored locally in your browser.
Network limitations
Some guest Wi-Fi, corporate networks, VPNs and networks with client isolation may block direct device connections.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Open the site and connect with a QR code or four-digit code.
Are files uploaded to the cloud?
No file copy is uploaded to this service. Files are sent through the browser connection.
Do both pages need to stay open?
Yes. Closing either page interrupts an active transfer.
